Full upholstery, tufted button — deep buttoning across the lid and padded sides. The traditional look, and the one that pairs best with a chesterfield or buttoned headboard.
Line design — clean horizontal stitched panels. Simpler, more modern, and a good match for panel or strip bed frames.

Come and see one. Lift the lid, sit on it, hold two velvets side by side. Ten minutes in the showroom beats an hour of scrolling.
Measure the foot of your bed. At 102cm wide, our boxes sit well at the end of a double, king or super king. In front of a small double or single, they can look wide — a footstool or pouffe often balances better.
Leave walking room. Allow at least 60cm between the box and the wall, wardrobe or radiator behind it, otherwise you'll be edging past it every morning.
Check the lid clearance. The lid opens upwards, so don't back it tight against a windowsill or a radiator shelf.
Think about the fabric for the room. Velvet suits bedrooms and living rooms beautifully. In a hallway that takes wet coats and muddy boots, a linen-look weave copes better with everyday marks.
